There's more than one way to walk an orchard.
Some people want to wander on their own for a while — reading, reflecting, taking things in at their own pace. Others are ready to dig in alongside someone who's been tending this ground for forty years. Most people start somewhere in the middle and find their way from there.
However you arrive, there's a place for you here.
The 5 Groves
The Wisdom Orchard is organized around five groves — each one a distinct area of leadership practice, each one cultivated over forty years of working with real leaders in real organizations.
The architecture draws on the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership developed by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, whose research has shaped the field for decades. The fruit, the stories, and the hard-won wisdom in each grove are entirely my own.
