There's more than one way to walk an orchard.

Some people want to wander on their own for a while — reading, reflecting, taking things in at their own pace. Others are ready to dig in alongside someone who's been tending this ground for forty years. Most people start somewhere in the middle and find their way from there.

However you arrive, there's a place for you here.

The Wisdom Orchard's free resources include my weekly essay, where I write about leadership the way I'd talk about it over a long lunch — honestly, with stories, and without the usual corporate gloss. You'll also find field guides and reflection tools designed to help you slow down and look at your own leadership with fresh eyes.

Man Harvesting Apples

For leaders who are ready to go deeper on their own terms.
These are guided workbooks and self-paced learning experiences built around the Five Groves framework. They're designed for the leader who knows something needs to shift but isn't quite ready — or doesn't yet need — a live engagement. You can work through them alone, with a trusted colleague, or as a small team.

Workshops

Wisdom Orchard workshops are practical working sessions that help leaders turn the lessons of a Grove into clear action. Guided by a seasoned Orchard practitioner, participants explore leadership principles, address current challenges, and identify meaningful commitments for putting learning into practice. The goal is to increase the harvest — stronger behaviors, healthier teams, and better results.

The Five Groves Cohort Experience

For leaders who are ready to grow through shared learning and meaningful conversation. This is an eight-to-twelve week guided experience built around the Five Groves framework. Each grove explores a distinct area of leadership practice through reflection, dialogue, and connection with other leaders. Designed for those who want to learn alongside others, this experience creates space for honest conversations and lasting growth.

Some leadership challenges cannot be solved by developing one person. When trust, culture, communication, accountability, structure or performance systems are affecting the work, the Orchard looks at the larger environment. The process may include listening, assessment, facilitated conversations, team development, or organization development consulting. We seek to understand the system before prescribing an intervention. Contact Us

Let's Start a Conversation

You don't have to know exactly what you need. Most people don't — not yet. What I've found, over forty years of this work, is that the right conversation has a way of clarifying things.
